Light a Candle
Grace Marie Crippen age 89 of Neptune NJ died April 1 2020. She passed away peacefully at home with family at her bedside. She succumbed to her illness of many years. She was born March 7, 1931, in Harlem NY. Eventually, she became a resident of Asbury Park and then Neptune NJ. She was predeceased by her husband John Crippen, her mother Ethel Height, her father Aaron Johnson, her brother Carl Bigby and her grandson Malachi Armstrong. On April 17, 1949, Grace Marie Johnson married John Crippen of Neptune, NJ. Grace was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness until her death. She dearly loved the Neptune NJ congregation. Grace loved being taught by her father to share her faith with others. She enjoyed Pioneering, devoting more time to helping others learn about the Bible. As a result, she gained many blessings. At one point in her life, she also enjoyed her employment at Sears. She provided Customer Service and loved helping people. As a child, her desire was to one day be a wife and mother. This, she was able to fulfill and it brought her great joy. She will be remembered for her zest and zeal for life. Left to mourn her death are two sons and two daughters (eldest to youngest): Sharmien Davis of Canton GA, Vance Crippen and his wife JoAnn of Albany NY, Kyle Crippen and his wife Angelica of Neptune NJ, Shaunda Armstrong of Long Branch NJ. Grace is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. And a whole host of family and friends. At this time, Memorial services will be determined at a later date.
